“The joy of the African animal kingdom.”

 

We were extremely excited to work on this African Christmas commercial for DSTV alongside several other studios, both local and international. Polycat created several of the characters and props as well as the immersive landscape in the first half of the commercial which was all shaded, lit and rendered using Arnold software.

Populating a landscape with so many distinct african creations was one of the more challenging tasks and required custom made scatter tools in Houdini. We love working on these full 3D projects as it allows for us to really flex our CG muscles.
